Go 'head, it's your birthday!!!!

Well thank the Lord, I've made it another year. And what a year it has been! I am thankful to have my health, my portion of wealth and good friends. I just stumbled back home from next door after drinking champagne. I had lunch with a girlfriend and coffee with my 2 other fabulous ladies. All in all it's been a relaxing day. A perfect day for fellowship and to prepare to fast.

My church is calling for a 21 day fast, the Daniel Fast. It is a modified fast, abstaining from meat, dairy, caffeine, sugar, eating only fruits, vegetables, whole grains and nuts. I remember last year, I thought I could never live without meat, but I found myself set free. Caffeine is another issue, but I'm hoping for a breakthrough in that area as well. Fasting is a way of recalibrating, spending time with God, figuring out what is truly important in life. I am still praying for my children's salvation, particularly my daughter. I am seeking God's direction and God's will for my life.I also need healing from my past. I know from past experience that I will face some challenges in the next 21 days, the enemy seeks to separate us from God, but I'll have none of it!! I am going to put on the armor and resist the enemy.

"Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand." Ephesians 6:11-13
